Getting Started

How do I create my first invoice? ๐Ÿงพ
Tap Home โ†’ Quick Create โ†’ New Invoice. Select or add a client, then add your line items (services or products). Set your tax and discount if needed, then tap Send or Save as Draft. Your invoice will be ready to share as a PDF in seconds.
How do I add a client? ๐Ÿ‘ฅ
Go to the Clients tab and tap the + button in the top right. Enter the client's name, company, email, and billing address. Once saved, they'll appear in your client list and can be selected when creating any invoice or estimate.
What's the difference between an Invoice and an Estimate? ๐Ÿ“Š
An Estimate is a quote you send to a client before starting work โ€” it's not a request for payment. An Invoice is a formal bill sent after work is done or agreed upon. In InvoiceKit, you can convert an accepted estimate into an invoice with one tap โ€” no re-entering data.
How do I set up my business profile? ๐Ÿข
Go to More โ†’ Business Profile. Add your business name, logo, address, phone number, and any other details you want on your invoices. This information will automatically appear on every invoice and PDF you generate โ€” making every invoice look polished and professional.
How do I add items and services to my catalog? ๐Ÿ“ฆ
Go to More โ†’ Items & Services and tap + to add a new item. Enter the name, description, unit price, and type (product or service). Once saved, you can add any item from your catalog to an invoice with a single tap โ€” no retyping rates every time.
How do I export and share an invoice as PDF? ๐Ÿ“ค
Open any invoice and tap the Share or Export PDF button (usually the three-dot menu or a share icon at the top). The app generates a professional PDF that you can send via email, WhatsApp, iMessage, or any other app on your device.
How do I mark an invoice as Paid? โœ…
Open the invoice you want to update, tap the three-dot menu (โ€ขโ€ขโ€ข), and select Mark as Paid. The invoice status will update to Paid and your dashboard totals will reflect the payment. You can also view payment history in the Reports section.

How do I cancel my subscription? โ†ฉ๏ธ
Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. To cancel:
  • iPhone: Settings โ†’ Your Name โ†’ Subscriptions โ†’ InvoiceKit โ†’ Cancel
  • Android: Play Store โ†’ Menu โ†’ Subscriptions โ†’ InvoiceKit โ†’ Cancel
Access to Pro features continues until the end of your current paid billing period. Your data remains accessible on the free plan after cancellation.
I purchased Pro but it's not showing up ๐Ÿ’ณ
Go to the app's Settings and tap "Restore Purchases." Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID or Google account used during purchase. If this doesn't resolve the issue, please contact us with your purchase receipt and we'll sort it out quickly.
Do subscriptions renew automatically? ๐Ÿ”„
Yes. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Monthly plans renew every 30 days, yearly plans every 365 days. You can manage or cancel at any time through your device's account settings.

Troubleshooting

My invoice totals don't look right ๐Ÿ”ข
Double-check the following in your invoice:
  • Quantity and unit price for each line item
  • Discount โ€” check if it's set as a percentage (%) or fixed amount ($)
  • Tax rate โ€” confirm the correct percentage is entered
  • Subtotal = sum of all line items before tax and discount
If numbers still seem off, try deleting and re-adding the affected line item. Contact us if the issue persists.
The PDF export doesn't include my logo ๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ
Logo on invoices is a Pro feature. Make sure you're subscribed to InvoiceKit Pro. If you are on Pro, go to More โ†’ Business Profile, check that your logo is uploaded, and try regenerating the PDF. If the logo is still missing, contact support with your device model and OS version.
My data disappeared after reinstalling the app ๐Ÿ—‚๏ธ
InvoiceKit stores data locally on your device. When you delete and reinstall the app, local data is cleared. If you had iCloud Backup (iOS) or Google Backup (Android) enabled before deleting, you may be able to restore data from your device backup. We recommend regularly exporting important invoices as PDFs to keep copies. Contact us if you need further assistance.
The app crashes or won't open โšก
To fix app crashes:
  • Force close InvoiceKit and reopen it
  • Restart your device
  • Ensure your iOS or Android version is up to date
  • Check that you have enough storage space available on your device
  • Delete and reinstall the app (note: local data will be cleared)
If the issue persists, contact us with your device model, OS version, and a description of when the crash occurs.
How do I change the currency or tax settings? ๐Ÿ’ฑ
Currency and tax defaults can be set in More โ†’ Business Profile or within individual invoices when creating them. You can set a default tax rate in your Business Profile so it's pre-filled on every new invoice. Currency is based on your region settings, but can be overridden per invoice.
